‘Criminal Minds’ Fans Are Rallying Around Shemar Moore After His Emotional Instagram Post

Shemar Moore brought together three generations of family, and fans are emotional over the way he did it.

In late January, the Criminal Minds alum announced that he and girlfriend Jesiree Dizon welcomed a daughter named Frankie. He celebrated the life milestone by visiting the grave of his late mother Marilyn, who died in February 2020, with his own family. Shemar later shared the heartfelt moment on Instagram. In one photo, the S.W.A.T. actor held Frankie and wrapped an arm around his partner. The trio surrounded Marilyn’s resting place, which was decorated with two red roses and a bottle of white wine.

“Shemar, Jesiree, Frankie, and the spirit of Grandma Marilyn … ❤️????️????,” he captioned the post on February 9. “Mom’s dream was for me to become a father and give momma some grand babies … it took me a minute, but momma’s dream is now reality!!”

He continued: “I accomplished much and experienced the good, the Great, the light, and the dark … but this I couldn’t do on my own … Jesiree Dizon, we came back into each others lives and found love again and created a magical [little] human together … I love and miss you everyday Grandma Marilyn ❤️????️ RIP 2/8/20.”

As soon as Shemar posted the sentimental photos, Criminal Minds fans immediately flooded Shemar’s comments section with supportive words.

“No doubt Grandma Marilyn held baby Frankie before she came into this world.❤️,” one person wrote on Instagram. “So happy for all of you!! Grandma Marilyn is watching over you all!! ????????❤️❤️,” another replied. “So happy for you!! Your mom knew what you needed! She’s your [angel] ????,” a different user added.

While Shemar continues to remember his mother, he’s also making sure to give folks updates about his new dad life. That same day, he captured a sweet video with Frankie lying on his chest, along with a sweet father-daughter photo less than a week later.
