Drake has never been shy about making allusions to his love life in his music, peppering several of his songs with references to various romantic partners and sex acts. And he just got a bit more frank about what he gets up to in the bedroom in a recent Instagram post, dropping a not-so-oblique reference to a certain little blue pill while wearing a Viagra-branded Nascar jacket.
The rapper, who recently announced the North American leg of his “It’s All A Blur” tour kicking off on June 29, made a cheeky reference to having “Hard Feelings” in the caption for the trio of blurred images, prompting comments from fellow rappers Lil Yachty and Trippie Redd.
While the effects of Viagra (a brand name for the erectile dysfunction drug sildenafil) on sexual performance are pretty obvious, what is less well-known are its fitness benefits. Originally developed as a treatment for hypertension and angina pectoris, sildenafil increases blood flow, which is where those healthy boners come from—and which has also been linked to an increase in athletic performance. Viagra also includes nitric oxide, a key ingredient in many bodybuilding supplements.
In fact, former NFL wide receiver Chad Ochocinco claims to have taken Viagra prior to every game during his pro football career. “I’d take Viagra then a muscle relaxer before each game,” he said in 2021. “The increase in blood flow throughout the body wouldn’t allow me to get tired [and] I could run for eight quarters if need be, no hat.”
