The Best Clit Sucking Vibrators

IT MIGHT BE time to ditch the ol’ “traditional” vibrator, everyone. Just kidding—don’t do that. But do recognize that sextech has evolved since the Hitachi Magic Wand came out in the ’60s, and now there are clit-sucking vibrators for people with a vulva. We’re talking about sex toys that seriously simulate oral sex—it’s a revolution, and we are here for it. To fully understand the magic of clit-sucking vibrators, let’s quickly recap how orgasms work, physiologically.

Whether you have a penis or a vulva, “orgasm involves blood flowing and staying in the erectile tissue in the genitals, and then that blood being released by rhythmic contractions of the pelvic floor,” explains Laurie Mintz, Ph.D., Lelo sexpert and author of Becoming Cliterate. For penis owners, the erectile tissue is in the penis, and for vulva owners, it’s in the clitoris (which extends up to 5 inches inside the body, BTW).

“Unlike traditional vibrators, which are often designed to press directly against the head of the clitoris, clit-sucking toys are generally designed to sit around the head of the clitoris, enveloping it and delivering bursts of air or sonic waves,” Mintz says. “This creates stimulation for the internal and external clitoris and causes blood to flow to the area—which is the foundation for orgasm!”

“One of my all-time favorites is the Womanizer X Lovehoney Pro40 Rechargeable Clitoral Stimulator,” Cobb says. “It’s somehow both a very gentle yet intense experience. You can also use it on your nipples, which actually feels great.” This one is damn-near-perfect with every feature we love in a good clit-sucking vibrator: It’s both powerful and quiet, plus it runs for up 4 hours on a single charge and it’s safe to use in the water or underwater.

Not surprisingly, it’s one of the best reviewed models on LoveHoney.com with more than 1,300 overwhelmingly positive buyer ratings. At roughly $100, it’s not the cheapest in our roundup, but it’s certainly not the most expensive either. All of which makes this our go-to pick for the best clit-sucking vibrator of 2023 overall.

What do buyers say? “Wow. This is just The Best! Used plenty of lube. Switched on and find your spot … The most amazing toy I’ve ever used,” said one LoveHoney.com reviewer.

“The newest air-suction toy on the market, the Satisfyer Love Triangle, is a delight as it combines the air-suction technology with deep vibrations,” Sparks says. “Better still, it can be controlled via the Satisfyer app.” That mobile app is what truly sets this one apart. You (or your partner) can remotely dial up or dial back every feature with a few button taps.

We also love how sleek and compact this little triangle is, so it’s easy to hold and to point right where you need it. The body is easy to clean, too. Plus, the motor is both powerful and quiet. The only catch is that some reviewers found the tech-forward design to be a little too intricate and complicated. The good news is that this one can be used without the app if you prefer.

What do buyers say? “Connects to the app very quickly. It is super strong and the battery lasts forever … Definitely recommend purchasing,” said one Amazon reviewer.

“I also love recommending the Romp Shine to those who are seeking a less pricey option,” Sparks says. “It has 10 intensity levels and a discrete motor.” It’s compact, lightweight, and super-simple to use, making this a great option for those who appreciate easy-to-use, no-frills sex toys without the need for connected smartphone apps. The body-safe silicone is also 100% waterproof and makes clean-up a breeze, too.

Some reviewers say the long-term durability is so-so. But, most of the reviews we read said this model was exactly what they were looking for. With the combination of user-friendliness, wide range of intensities, and, most importantly, a great price, this is an easy pick as this year’s best value clit-sucking vibrator.

What do buyers say? “[A] nice device made of quality material. It is very easy to use with only a few buttons to control. I am having so much fun with it!” said one Amazon reviewer.

“If you like all the pleasure and want something that penetrates in addition to sucking you off, Zalo’s Rose Series Vibrator combines a girthy g-spot vibrator with air-suction clitoral stimulation,” Kocak says. “The toy comes in yellow which is a unique color for a vibrator and the insertable part of this vibe is thicker than most dual-stimulation models, making it perfect for size queens.”

The unique, 2-in-1 design of this clit-sucking vibrators hits all the pleasure zones. It’s one of the few dual-stimulation models in this year’s round-up. One special bonus: It’s thicker than most of the competition making it a perfect fit (pun intended) for some. Although some reviewers noted it was a little too thick, but if that’s your thing, this is the model for you.

What do buyers say? “I’ve never been more impressed with a product. I immediately sent a text to my best friend and told them to buy one. Out with the old, in with the new,” said one Zalo reviewer.

When discretion is key, you need an ultra-compact vibrator. “My next personal favorite is the Womanizer Liberty,” Cobb says. “It’s petite and easy to travel with. It also has a magnetic travel cover for discretion. You can literally drop it in your pocket, and no one would know it was there.”

Don’t let the tiny size fool you though. This one is still plenty powerful and pretty quiet to boot. At around $100, it’s not cheap. But, if you travel often or just want a personal sex toy that you can literally take anywhere, this one’s for you.

What do buyers say? “Small but mighty… jelly legged orgasms in under 5 minutes! It’s small, discreet but oh my what a toy!” said one LoveHoney.com reviewer.

“Dame Aer is more accessible under $100, and with the larger mouthpiece is more inclusive for different clit sizes,” Alexandra says. The flexible mouth stretches between 0.5″ to 0.8″ so it’s much more accommodating to all kinds of anatomies. Still, it creates a perfect soft seal and delivers rhythmic pulses of air in a variety of patterns and intensities totally controllable by you or your partner.

At around $100, this is another midrange option that isn’t cheap, but it’s also not outrageously expensive. That’s especially nice if you’re looking to step up from, say, a more basic, beginner-friendly clit-sucking vibrator to something a bit fancier. Plus, with more than 700 overwhelmingly positive reviews on Dame.com, it’s clear this is a fan-favorite.

What do buyers say? “Wife really enjoys it. Brings a “different” kind of orgasm. So far, it’s a guaranteed way to get off,” said one Dame.com reviewer.

Of course, sex toys don’t always have to look like sex toys. Sometimes you want something a little more discrete. This model from Lovehoney mono ami combines both pleasure and aesthetics into a unique clitoral-sucking device that’s truly one-of-a-kind. It’s cute, it’s romantic, and it feels amazing.

The body is 100% waterproof, so it’s safe and easy to clean. Plus, the silicone materials is flexible which, in our opinion, feels softer and more natural against your most intimate parts (down to and including the clit). This is another solid vibrator with a powerful, yet relatively quiet motor that’ll run for more than an hour on a single charge. Plus: It’s under fifty bucks.

What do buyers say? “This is the perfect toy if he is a little on the quick side or you need the job done quickly,” said one LoveHoney.com reviewer.

“I’m a huge fan of LELO, in general, but I absolutely love their SONA 2 Cruise because it’s super high-quality, the design is stunning, and it’s got built-in ‘cruise control,’ a.k.a the intensity automatically increases when it’s pressed hard against the body,” Kocak says.

Mintz notes that the SILA cruise is similar to the SONA, “with the SONA building orgasm more quickly and the SILA more slowly. The SONA has a smaller mouth/opening to put around the clitoris, and the SILA has a larger one.”

“There are now many companies who have similar technology in their toys,” Sparks says. “I recommend the Baci by Lora Di Carlo because, in addition to the pleasure air technology that stimulates the clitoral hood, it vibrates down the ‘legs’ of the clitoris.”

Cobb recommends the Womanizer Duo. “It’s the best of both worlds,” she says. It’s a clitoral and G-spot stimulator that creates explosive blended orgasms.

The original OG clit-sucking vibrator from Tracy’s Dog gets a serious upgrade. The latest version features a stronger motor, better suction, and the same amazing remote-controllable action so you can let your partner take control from across the warm.

Cute, compact, and very clit-stimulating, the Puff Compact Suction Toy from Unbound Babes is the perfect travel-friendly clit-sucker for on-the-go fun. Plus, it’s quiet, waterproof, and five intensity levels let you dial in your own level of fun.

And now for something completely different … Emojibator’s Chickie Emojibator is a one-of-a-kind suction toy that looks like anything but. It’s powerful enough to give you mind-blowing orgasms, yet compact and cutesy enough to be discreet (you can probably leave it on your dresser and no one will be the wiser).

We-Vibe’s Melt Pleasure Air Clitoral Stimulator was designed for partners to play with together. The unique shape is slim and compact enough to slip between partners during sex. Powerful technology combines gentle suction with vibrating waves to take your bedroom play to a whole new level.

When a clit-sucking vibrator isn’t quite enough, there’s the Her Ultimate Pleasure combination dildo/clit-sucker sex toy from Pipedream Products. The unique attachment end fits over the entire vulva to stimulate blood flow, while a vibrating wand and a soft “tongue” attachment add even more stimulation.

What Is a Clit-sucking Vibrator?

A clit-sucking vibrator works by using a combination of air, suction, and a little vibration to deliver orgasms on the fly. Companies like Womanizer, Satisfyer, and Lelo are the leading brands of the moment, making some of the best toys on the market.

Clit-sucking vibrators come in all different shapes and sizes, but they all have some kind of nozzle, or opening, that goes over the glans clitoris (the part of the clitoris on the outside of the vulva). It then “sucks” on the external clitoris similarly to how a partner might use their mouth during oral sex.

Megwyn White, a sexual wellness expert and resident sexpert for Satisfyer, says that these toys “use an incredible wave-like pulse to coax the clitoris into orgasms that are off the charts. Many women say that this is unlike any other stimulation than they have ever felt and actually draws out the clitoris to play and partake in deeper levels of trust and surrender while inviting the whole body to open to receiving waves of orgasm.”

These toys also provide a less intense sensation than traditional clitoral vibrators, which can be overwhelming or too much for some, Mintz explains.

Cole adds that these toys have both ergonomic designs and are quiet, which are key components in couple’s play. You won’t be distracted by the buzzing of a vibrator and won’t run the risk of feeling #intimidated by a sex toy. It’s a win for everyone.

How to Use a Clit-sucking Vibrator

Start with foreplay.

As with any sexual situation—or physical activity—you’ll want to start with a warm-up. Foreplay is so important. You should not, under any circumstances, be putting anything inside a person’s vagina without it being wet and ready (and with lube).

White suggests using some of your partner’s favorite all-natural lube or vagina-friendly massage oil to stimulate their clitoris manually. Stroke gently and consistently. When they’re ready, place the toy over their clitoris. Up the intimacy with deep kissing and eye contact. This kind of play tends to be intense. Lean into that intensity.

Use the toy on more than just the clitoris. The suction of these toys means they can be utilized for other erogenous zones as well. “Have you ever tried to stimulate the nipples with it?” says Johanna Rief, Womanizer’s Global Head of Communications.

Encourage them to breathe into their body and relax. This is all about them. “Breath is so important to getting a [person] to fully surrender to sensual pleasure and to draw out [their] deepest yearnings. Getting a [person] to drop into [their] breath, and ease into the sensual flow of [their] body can take some patience and priming,” White says.

Combine with oral sex.

Oral sex toys don’t mean oral itself is off the table. You can have your cake and eat it too. Literally.

Your mouth is magic, but adding in a toy is a whole other experience. “Oral sex offers an incredible means of activating orgasmic pleasure while also staying in the softer space of arousal to allow a [person] to drop more into [their] sensual embodiment,” White explains.

Have your partner place the toy on their clitoris. Use your tongue to stimulate the rest of their vulva. Lick the labia, gently tease the vaginal opening, and even try penetrating them with your tongue. All of this helps to awaken the nerve endings in their clitoral network, greatly intensifying pleasure. “Hold the hand at the bum with a palm grip and use that hand to create a strong anchor to stay connected to the body and use the pc-muscles to unlock orgasmic energy,” White adds.

You can use your fingers to stimulate your partner’s G-spot area. Place two fingers inside the vagina and hook upward toward the belly button. Rock against this area in a come hither motion. Remember to always communicate with your partner about how they are feeling and what feels good for them.

Use a clitoral suction toy during intercourse.

While using a clit-sucking vibrator may sound a bit on the tricky side, it actually isn’t. Involving the external clitoris in your intercourse action makes sex better. “By activating the clit you naturally amplify the arousal of penetrative sex through engorging the area around the vaginal canal,” White adds.

The key is to find easy ways to keep the toy over the clitoris while enjoying intercourse at the same time. It’s not so different from bringing a handheld vibrator into the bedroom…just possibly more orgasmic.

The three easiest positions for clit-sucking toy beginners are missionary, doggy style, and cowgirl. Keep it simple to start. You can always explore other positions later. To start, have your partner hold the toy against their clitoris. This way, they’ll know if it’s in the right place.

Your bodyweight can help hold the toy in place during missionary, while in doggy style, your partner can reach between their legs with the toy. The combined stimulation of clitoris suction and penetration can be downright explosive.

“In cowgirl, the [receiving partner] is sitting up, so [they] can use the clit sucker with [their] hands,” Mintz says. “Bonus: You can play with [their] breasts and get full visual access to [their] body at the same time.”

If you decide not to use the toy during intercourse, afterward is always an excellent option. “After penetrative sex is another way to include the clit-sucking toy, especially if your partner did not orgasm during intercourse,” Rief says.
