Watch Chris Hemsworth Try to Beat Jet Lag With an Intense Workout

Immediately after getting off a long-haul flight, Chris Hemsworth does exactly one thing: he hits the gym to fight his way through jet lag. The actor just shared a look at his latest workout on Instagram after arriving in Los Angeles and making his way directly to celebrity trainer Grant Roberts’ gym, where he announced his plans to “kick jet lag in the arse.”

The video montage shows Hemsworth torching his whole body with exercises including medicine ball twists, battle ropes, dumbbell bicep curls, overhead press, a bout on the assault bike, landmine press, and an exhausting-looking variation of the burpee where Hemsworth punctuates the top end of each movement with a pullup.

“The only way to beat jet lag is to keep on moving!” Hemsworth says.

However, despite putting in his best effort in the gym—or perhaps because of it—Hemsworth is still feeling the cumulative exhaustion of jet lag at the end of the training session, admitting: “Jet lag one, me zero.”

The Extraction star is not the only action star who works out as a way to overcome jet lag. The Rock has spoken about it before too, saying in 2019: “”No matter how many hours I’ve flown, no matter how many miles I’ve traveled, regardless of what country it is, the first thing I need to do to get ready for the work day is I gotta find the gym.”

And action movie legend Arnold Schwarzenegger is a fan of this approach too, having said: “Never take a nap when you land after a long flight. Go straight to the gym for a pump.”
