Cristiano Ronaldo played his first season with Al Nassr this year and finished second in the Saudi Pro League. He is now enjoying his offseason downtime, and has been posting regular updates to Instagram from his vacation with longterm partner Georgina Rodriguez.
Two weeks after posting some thirsty yacht photos in which his skimpy Speedos garnered plenty of attention, Ronaldo just shared another couple-y photo with his sculpted six-pack on fully display, proving that he is truly in the best shape of his career.
And while those vacation vibes look immaculate, he is still very much working out during his holiday to ensure that famous physique stays on point. In another sun-soaked Insta update, the forward showed off his upper-body workout, performing dumbbell shrugs and lateral raises which he paired with some Macarena-inspired cardio.
It’s all in aid of building and maintaining a body that can play at the highest level for as long as possible.
“I can still compete with the best players and can still maintain the shape I was in when I was 20 years old,” Ronaldo told Men’s Health in 2021, crediting the longevity he has enjoyed in his career with a focus on supporting his training with a strict muscle recovery regiment: “In football you have basic points—from training well to eating properly to drinking properly and so on—but recovery for me and from my point of view is the most important thing.”
“For me, recovery begins with Theragun. A quick pass over my body after a tough match or training session eliminates muscle soreness and kickstarts relaxation,” he added. “I also hydrate, eat a healthy meal, and get a good night’s rest. It’s a simple but effective routine that helps keep me consistently at my best.”
