To celebrate turning 50, Kate Beckinsale went all out with a themed costume party. The actress and her friends all dressed up as different versions of a Playboy bunny, and birthday girl Beckinsale went for the classic ensemble: a black leotard, fishnets, a bowtie, and black bunny ears.
The actress shared a carousel of photos posing with her friends—one wore a pink version of her classic Playboy suit and the other wore a white minidress, harness, and white ears.
“Happy bunny birthday, my birthday twin @olivergliese ???????? ????????????????????” she captioned the post. Fans and followers loved the creativity and wished Beckinsale a happy birthday.
“Beautiful ladies living their best lives ❤️❤️,” one person commented. “The three of you win. It would be extremely difficult to beat that birthday party,” another added. “Individuality, creativity, and basically not giving a fook! Love it. Happy birthday ???????? xx,” another wrote.
It’s true that Beckinsale doesn’t really care what other people consider to be age-appropriate behavior—in 2021, she told People that she doesn’t really think about aging all that much. “I think other people seem to be very obsessed with aging in a way that I am not. I am asked about that a lot,” she said. “I’m in a much happier situation in my forties than I was in my thirties.”
In June, she defended her decision not to use Botox or cosmetic procedures after being accused of using both by commenters on Instagram. She said she couldn’t take part due to a condition called Mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS), which “causes a person to have repeated severe allergy symptoms affecting several body systems,” according to the Genetic and Rare Diseases Information Center (GARD).
“I haven’t had a facelift or filler or Botox. I’m not lying and I don’t have to accept people accusing me of things I haven’t done,” she responded to one follower. “Maybe in July, everything will start falling off lol x.”
