Luke Bryan has been under the weather, and he’s been keeping his fans updated on social media. The “Play It Again” singer has been under a doctor’s care for a summer cold that forced him to cancel three shows over the weekend.
The American Idol judge was scheduled to perform in Salt Lake City, Utah, on August 4 and Boise, Idaho, on August 5 as part of his “Country On” tour. On August 6, he was supposed to take the stage in George, Washington, for the Watershed Festival. Bryan had to cancel all three shows, telling his fans on Instagram Stories that he’s been battling a “head cold.” He explained, “Under the advisement of doctors I need another day to rest my voice and get better.”
Bryan took to Twitter on Sunday to give an update on his health. Unfortunately, it wasn’t good news. He said, “This is such a frustrating weekend. ‘Shedders, I am sorry to let you down but I am not back singing – can hardly even talk still. This festival is one of the most beautiful places we perform and one of the most fun crowds always. I know my friends on the show will bring a great time for you! Show them all what you got. Love ya – Luke”
Fans left messages of support like, “Praying for you. Please get better soon” and “????????????take care of yourself!”
Bryan is scheduled continue his “Country On” tour on August 10 in Arkansas, followed by 10 more shows in August. We hope he’s healthy and feeling up to performing soon!
