Watch This Moldy Porsche 928 Get Its First Wash in 15 Years

Watching cars get washed is deeply therapeutic. There’s something about a neglected vehicle finally getting the attention it deserves that just gets to us. That’s why we’re so enamored with this latest video from Larry Kosilla of Ammo NYC detailing this abandoned Porsche 928’s rejuvenation.

This manual 928 S4 coupe sat in its previous owner’s driveway for 15 years before finally being purchased by North American Motor Car, a dealership in Danbury, Connecticut. The car went straight from its resting place to Kosilla’s detailing shop to be treated to a full cosmetic revival. It arrived covered in a thick layer of mold, with caked in bits of dirt from sitting outside for all those years. The interior was in similar shape, with plenty of built-up grime. It’s clear that there were animals living in the engine bay at one point, with plenty of nesting places under the hood.

Kosilla describes this initial rinse as the most soothing power-washing session he’s ever done, and we can see why. The before and after is shocking. And once he goes back to get the paint to shine like new, it’s even more stunning. It’s amazing how a pro detailer can get a car that’s been neglected for so long to look like it just rolled off the dealership floor with a few days of work.

According to the video’s description, North American Motor Car plans to sell this car, so if you’re interested, keep an eye on its website so you don’t miss your chance.
