Victoria and David Beckham are super into strength training these days, and now they’re here with a full-on couples strength fitness challenge.
The retired soccer legend recently dropped a video of the challenge on Instagram, and it looks surprisingly fun. In the video, Victoria and David can be seen planking while facing each other as fitness coach Bobby Rich oversees the action. A slew of lighted buttons are placed in a line between them, and the couple races to tap the buttons as they light up while staying in plank positions.
“Let the games begin ???? @victoriabeckham #HarperSeven ❤️ @mrbobbyrich the referee,” David wrote in his caption.
At the end, you can see that Rich has been keeping score on his phone, and someone (it’s not clear who) managed to hit 47 percent of the buttons that lit up—impressive. That takes some serious core strength all around.

People cheered them on in the comments. “???? the competitiveness is real,” one person wrote. “Goals!” said another. And plenty of people had questions about what, exactly, Victoria and David were doing, and how they could get their hands on the game.
Victoria has followed an intense workout routine for years. Back in 2017, she told Vogue Nederland that she would start every morning with a three mile run. The 48-year-old designer and former Spice Girl was also into indoor cycling—she’s has been spotted hitting up SoulCycle with David, and doing dance-based workouts with celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson.
But these days, Victoria has been focusing less on intense cardio and more on incorporating strength training into her routines.
She told Grazia that she is now lifting weights five or six days a week with David and their personal trainer. “I’ve always been a bit scared of weights, but it turns out I love them,” she said. Clearly, this couples workout isn’t the first together!
Victoria also eats a really healthy and nutritious diet. She told The Telegraph that she “eats three or four avocados a day” to help keep her skin healthy. She also likes to start her day with a “green monster” smoothie, per Hello!, which is a mix of chopped apple, kiwi, lemon, spinach, broccoli and chia seeds that she blends in a Nutribullet. Victoria also generally skips cheese and milk, per Vogue UK.
“I enjoy eating healthily,” she told The Times. “And I’m in the fortunate position where it’s easy for me. I can afford to eat well.” Victoria said she eats well for a reason: She’s got stuff to do. “I expect a lot from my body,” she told The Times. “And I’m never sick. You have to be kind to your body if you expect a lot from it.”
