‘Yellowstone’ Star Kevin Costner Is Causing a Big Stir With His New National Park Show

KEVIN COSTNER IS expanding the Yellowstone universe—but not in the way fans would have expected.

A few months back, the actor known for portraying John Dutton onscreen traveled through Yellowstone National Park for a different project. While the Paramount Network series films in the area, he arrived on-location for his Fox Nation docuseries Yellowstone: One-Fifty, which debuted in November. The four-parter featured Costner backpacking through the national park on the 150th anniversary of it becoming a recognized landmark.

Fans got a better look at The Bodyguard star’s explorations when the show posted an official trailer to social media a week before its November 20 premiere. But he also recently celebrated the show’s success by dropping rare behind-the-scenes photos to his Instagram.

Costner’s latest Instagram was shared a few days before Yellowstone fans heard that the show may end with season 5 due to the actor’s schedule. Although nothing is set in stone, the channel gave their two cents about the news originally reported by Deadline.

“We have no news to report,” Paramount said in an official statement to CNN. “Kevin Costner is a big part of Yellowstone and we hope that’s the case for a long time to come … Thanks to the brilliant mind of Taylor Sheridan, we are always working on franchise expansions of this incredible world he has built.”
