How to Watch the 2023 World’s Strongest Man Competition Online

The 2023 World’s Strongest Man competition begins on Wednesday, April 19 at Burroughs & Chapin Pavilion Place in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, kicking off two days of qualifying rounds, followed by a two-day final, culminating in the crowning of this year’s winner on Sunday, April 23.

Scottish strongman Tom Stoltman, a.k.a. “The Albatross,” is the current reigning World’s Strongest Man champion, having defended his 2021 title last year, winning for a second time. He will be back this year to try to hang on to the crown for a third year running.

Also competing will be Tom’s older brother Luke Stoltman. This marks the first time in the history of the competition that two brothers have made it to the World’s Strongest Man finals. A lauded strongman in his own right, Luke is a winner of Europe’s Strongest Man and five-time Scotland’s Strongest Man. If he were to be the one to push Tom off the podium, we could be in for a third year with a Stoltman as World’s Strongest Man.

There is a whole host of other familiar faces among the strength athletes due to compete, including previous winners Oleksii Novikov (2020) and Brian Shaw (2011, 2013, 2015, 2016), as well as a number of former World’s Strongest Man mainstays: Mark Felix, Trey Mitchell, Bobby Thompson and former pro wrestler Evan Singleton are all vying for the top spot this year.

How to watch the 2023 World’s Strongest Man

If you’re in or around Myrtle Beach, the competition is free and open to the public, complete with a fan festival area and general admission viewing area where you can watch every event live.

There will also be constant behind-the-scenes coverage of each event on the World’s Strongest Man’s social media channels, with on-the-ground commentary and interviews hosted by 15-time WSM competitor Terry Hollands.

While there is no live broadcast on TV, you can catch all the action at home later in the summer, with coverage on CBS Sports Network and CBS Television Network starting from May 28.
