Congratulations, Emma!
Emma is our May Member of the Month! She joined PUSH511 this past September and has been doing group CrossFit classes with us ever since. In less than a year, she’s seen amazing progress! This is why PUSH511’s coaches love having her at the gym:
From long-mile runs to big lifts in the gym, Emma has taken on that beast mode mentality. She seems to have more energy throughout the day with two-a-day shenanigans and then repeats it for the week with ease. All the while, she has a bright smile and enthusiasm that’s so welcoming to everyone that meets her. She continues to succeed in her adventures by running a marathon and also hitting the lifts appropriately at PUSH. While she disappears for the summer to bask in the sun, we’ll be trying to spend the summer getting to her level of greatness.
Emma is a shining beacon of light in the gym, from her hair color to her attitude. She takes challenges head-on and is always laughing along the way. My favorite is that she makes jokes at Pogo’s expense on the reg, just loud enough for others to hear which makes the delivery even better. 10/10 would recommend coaching and taking class with Emma.
Emma is the definition of a hard-working athlete. She’s what any coach wants in an athlete: Never complains, quietly comes in, does the work and then some, and always crushes it. She is always a joy whenever she comes to class.
Emma has been such a great addition to the gym over the last few months. I’m so sad to be losing her to OCMD this summer. Emma works on her weaknesses and is coachable as hell. Her great attitude and awesome sense of humor are all just a bonus on top of being a wonderful human.
Emma is such a delight to have in class! She always has a smile and a positive attitude and just works hard. She is a great athlete to coach and a great athlete to workout alongside. It’s always fun to see her signed up for your class!
Emma has such a wonderful and colorful personality and always brings dedication and hard work to everything she attempts, with a great smile on her face!
Emma is so fun to have in class, and I always look forward to coaching her and working out with her. She always has a smile on her face and gives it her all. She’s super receptive to feedback and works hard to make changes. Love having athletes like Emma!
Emma has been such a great addition to the push community. She has a great attitude, always comes in with a smile on her face, works her a** off, plus she has one of the sweetest pups. Love working out with her and coaching her!
Emma is so fun! She shows up early to class seemingly every day working on different skills and doing all the right things to get the most out of her workout. She has a great attitude and always has a big smile! We love having Emma in the community!
Emma is so kind and brings so much positivity to the gym. You can always count on Emma to bring the smiles and a supporting attitude. She motivates and cheers for everyone in class and works extremely hard. Emma is a joy to have in class!
Now, let’s get to know our Member of the Month!

What’s your fitness background? I was a swimmer and gymnast as a kid, then got into distance running in college. Since then I’ve dabbled in triathlons and ultra running.

Tell us a little about yourself and your family. I’m the oldest of four siblings and each of us is three years apart. Everyone in my family is either a runner or a swimmer or both!
Tell us something we don’t know about you! I got double unders in my very first CrossFit class ever and then lost them for 2 years.
How has CrossFit affected your life outside of the gym? Crossfit has made me a tougher person. Crossfit forces me to work on things I’m not good at and strategically leverage my strengths in workouts, which translates to everything else in life.
What do you enjoy most about PUSH511? The coffee and the super supportive community! Everyone in the gym genuinely wants to be there.
What tips would you offer someone who is just getting started with working out? Be proud of where you are and keep working. Also, don’t cherry-pick workouts… that’s why I still can’t snatch.
