Cast, Release Date, News, and More

Peacock’s breakout hit Poker Face is one of the best murder mystery shows in recent memory. There’s famous guest stars, some great laughs, a murder-of-the-week, and even a little bit of a crime thriller as Natasha Lyonne’s character runs from her past.

Lyonne plays Charlie Cale, a woman with a fascinating ability to tell when people are lying. It’s not a super power. In fact, it’s more like a curse for Charlie, who can’t stand when people lie… especially when there’s a murder involved. That gets her in trouble when her long-term gig as a waiter at a casino turns sour after she uncovers the owner’s wrongdoing. While on the run, she takes odd jobs, which, to her chagrin, seem to always coincide with a murder. Despite her need to keep a low profile, Charlie does what she can to find the truth, whether someone gets apprehended by law enforcement or not.

Critics love Poker Face. On Rotten Tomatoes, the show carries a critics score of 99%. The audience score is 80%. It’s the perfect show to relax with after a long day of work. In one hour, you get to see great actors play villains or victims, and Lyonne’s Charlie Cale always gets to the bottom of things in an entertaining way. It’s the kind of show you could imagine going on for years to come.

Who will star inPoker Face Season 2?

It’s safe to assume Natasha Lyonne will return for Season 2, but the best part of the show is: the stars for the next season will probably be a surprise. Season 1 featured a ton of great stars, including Hong Chau, Stephanie Hsu, Simon Helberg, Tim Meadows, and many, many others.

However, we know who creator Rian Johnson wants to join the fun eventually, whether that’s in Season 2 or somewhere further down the line: one of his old Knives Out stars. “If there’s one person I would love to convince to come into one of these things, it’s Jamie Lee Curtis,” he said in an interview with Men’s Health. “Jamie, if you’re listening, let’s play!
