It was a big night for country star Lainey Wilson at the 58th Academy of Country Music Awards on May 11. Not only did the singer take home the awards for Female Artist of the Year and Album of the Year with her latest record Bell Bottom Country, as well as two joint wins for her feature on Hardy’s “Wait in the Truck,” but she also chose that night to debut her new relationship with former NFL quarterback Devlin “Duck” Hodges.
Wilson and Hodges walked the red carpet together prior to the awards ceremony hosted by country legends Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks in Frisco, Texas. Hodges wore her trademark bell bottoms and broad-brimmed hat, while Hodges was also suitably attired in a bolo tie and cowboy hat.
This was the couple’s first public appearance together, but they have been flirting pretty blatantly. Hodges has made no secret of the fact that he’s a major fan of Wilson’s music, tweeting about her a number of times, and Wilson wore Hodges’ Pittsburgh Steelers jersey during a performance in April, prompting the QB to get in touch.

Following the ACM Awards, the “Heart Like a Truck” singer shared some highlights from the evening, including a shot of herself and Hodges on the red carpet, to which he replied in the comments: “Now can I take you hunting?”
Wilson made her acting debut in the fifth and final season Taylor Sheridan’s smash Western drama Yellowstone last year as aspiring country singer Abby, and she has high hopes that her character will be sticking around when production begins on Part 2 of Season 5. “I have a really good feeling that if they do finish things in a way that … they’re planning, I will be back in it,” Wilson said in April. “We’ll see, they haven’t taken me to the train station yet.”
