Miranda Lambert is in the middle of her Velvet Rodeo residency in Las Vegas, and she has unfortunately been forced to take a break. The “Mama’s Broken Heart” singer revealed that she is under a doctor’s care and has been placed on vocal rest and ultimately had to cancel her show on March 30. Lambert expressed her disappointment and said she hopes to get back to the stage soon.
Lambert shared a personal update with her fans on Twitter, along with instructions on how ticket holders could get a refund. She wrote, “Hey y’all. I have been under a doctor’s care all day to see if things improved, however unfortunately I’ve been put on vocal rest and we have to cancel our show tonight. To those fans who made plans to spend their Thursday night with us, I truly apologize. I am working hard to get better for shows on Saturday and Sunday. See you all soon, and thank you for understanding. ❤️”
Fans left messages of support and passed along wishes for her recovery.
- “So disappointed, but people, she’s not a robot, she’s human. Going to make the most of my time here in Vegas. Get to feeling better, Miranda. Until next time…”
- “Get better soon. Your health and voice are more important and when we buy tickets to a show there is always the chance of something like this. Your health is what is important.”
- “Absolutely gutted! Came all the way from the U.K. just to catch you but your health and looking after your beautiful voice is the most important thing. Get well soon! X”
- “I’m so sorry to hear you’re unwell. Rest up and take care of yourself. I hope you feel better soon”
We’re sending Lambert wishes for a speedy recovery! Her residency continues through December.
