If you’ve been keeping up to date on your celebrity news, you already know there’s some serious drama surrounding the Don’t Worry Darling premiere.
If not, a quick recap: Star Florence Pugh is reportedly feuding with director Olivia Wilde because she allegedly disappeared onset a lot to spend time with her BF and fellow star Harry Styles. Shia LaBeouf was originally supposed to play Styles’ role, but he either left or was fired, depending on who you ask.
Video has leaked of Wilde begging LaBeouf not to leave the movie, saying that “I think this might be a bit of a wake-up call for Miss Flo,” suggesting that there was some kind of issue between LaBeouf and Pugh.
Aaand Pugh has skipped a bunch of events to promote the film, which isn’t normal for a movie’s star.
Well, Pugh is now at the Venice Film Festival for the movie premiere. First, she arrived at the Venice airport in a purple Valentino bandeau top, shorts, and jacket combo that showed off some impressively toned abs and legs. Behold:
Her stylist, Rebecca Corbin-Murray, shared an IG video of Pugh strutting in her all-purple fit with an aperol spritz in hand that immediately went viral. (Swipe to the last slide.)
Then, Pugh went pantsless at the movie’s premiere, showing off some major leg in the process. She shared the sweetest IG photo dump featuring her date: her grandma Pat.
The 26-year-old has shared little BTS snippets of her fitness routine, including one Instagram snap of her yoga mat and kettlebell hanging out in the grass alongside her dog and chicken.
Of course, Pugh is now a superhero—she plays Black Widow in several Marvel movies—and she told Glamour UK that she’s big into doing her own stunts.
“I really enjoy stunts,” she said. “I wanted to do as many stunts, so straight away I learnt kickboxing and knife training.”
Pugh is big on body positivity, though, telling Glamour that she felt that it was “very apparent” that she needed to lose weight in an early acting gig.
“When it was over, I was very aware I didn’t want to do that kind of work,” she said. “I realized what I wanted to represent, and had that not happened, I may not have overcome my issues with my body at such an early age. I’m happy about that, but a lot of women aren’t that lucky.”
Pugh told Elle that she “grew up with a lot of dance and a lot of movement,” noting that she was “always fighting my brother,” so she felt comfortable taking on the role of Black Widow.
But Pugh said that she was nervous about what would be expected of her when she played a superhero. “When I got the job, I wanted to know what the regime was,” she said. “I didn’t want to be part of something where I was constantly checked on. And people making sure I was in the ‘right’ shape. That’s not me at all.”
Pugh said she ate well while filming Black Widow, and she took ownership of her meals. She cooked her food in the morning and took it to set in Tupperware.

“Scarlett had this amazing guy who cooked beautiful things for her and her team. I thought that was clever because you’re doing fitness all the time and you need to have someone who’s on top of what you’re eating and the nutrients you’re getting,” Pugh said. “I remember her asking, ‘Why are you cooking for yourself? Just let us feed you!’ And I was like, ‘Nope.’”
Clearly, it’s working for her!
