How ‘Sex/Life’ Star Adam Demos Builds His Heartthrob Physique

It’s not every day that your body breaks the internet—unless you’re Adam Demos. His nude scene went viral during the first season of Netflix’s steamy relationship drama Sex/Life, and now that the show is back for its second season, Demos’ status as a bona fide heartthrob is official.

In a new Train Like video, the Australian actor—along with trainer Ryan Farhoudi—shares his chest and back day workout with MH, and breaks down how he stays in shape while filming the provocative series

“The role in Sex/Life does require me to be a little bit unclothed,” he says, “so training-wise it’s more about making sure everything is toned, making sure I’m nice and lean, because you never know what angle they’re going to shoot you from.”

In addition to sculpting that swoon-worthy physique, however, Demos’ workouts are designed to help prevent injury during those long days on set. This means he tends to lift lighter weights, but at a higher rep volume, with a constant focus on maintaining good technique. “That sort of keeps everything tight,” he says. “Hopefully it doesn’t look too bad!”

While working out is part and parcel of the leading man gig (Demos also has a growing resume as the love interest in Netflix’s romantic comedy cinematic universe), his love for fitness runs deeper than that.

“I’ve always been into exercise and working out in some form, just growing up in Australia, I grew up on a farm, so you’re active there. And just outside of the aesthetics for work, it just makes you feel good,” he says. “I don’t overcomplicate it. Stick to the basics and give it your best effort, but it certainly requires hard work. Give it the best effort you can, and that’s it.”
