‘Jeopardy! Masters’ Fans Can’t Believe What James Holzhauer Did

Ken Jennings bravely embarrassed himself on TV, and it had to do with an old debt due to James Holzhauer.

The duo were recently on Jeopardy! Masters, where Ken was host and James was a contestant. As fans may remember, back in 2020, the trivia wizards competed on Jeopardy! The Greatest of All Time (GOAT), where Ken won and James placed second. Fast forward, James took the opportunity of their reunion to call out fellow Jeopardy! legend Brad Rutter for a surprising reason. As he explained during the taping, James asked his Chase star to help him out with a charity challenge. But it didn’t go as planned.

“So, Pat McAfee, a fan of the show and apparently me in particular, sent me a challenge,” he said. “It was called Crack Cancer and your thing is you had to have a video of someone smashing a raw egg over your head. So, I enlisted my wife to do this, who cackled through the whole thing.”

James continued: “Then you’re supposed to kind of pass it on, and I decided I would challenge my opponents from GOAT. To this day, none of them have accepted the challenge … Brad!”

Despite this, Ken decided he’d step up to the plate and help James see this challenge through three years later. “Brad’s not here, but I am willing to take one for the team here,” he said. “Are we going to carry on the raw egg cracking challenge?”

As a result, James not only cracked the egg over his head, but Ken couldn’t stop laughing as it occurred.

Just like the upcoming 100 Places to See After You Die author, Jeopardy! fans loved seeing the two bring the challenge full circle. “A gentleman, scholar and now a really good sport. You’re the best Ken!!” one person wrote. “Ken is a good sport—I have no idea how he puts up with James ????????,” another added. “[James] didn’t even pause, he just went for it ???????? ????,” a different follower said.

While no one saw this coming, we appreciate the hilarity in the name of charity.
