Katherine Schwarzenegger shared a tribute to her famous dad and husband on Father’s Day, posting a rare photo of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Chris Pratt enjoying each other’s company—and a couple of cigars—to Instagram.
“Happy fathers to day to these guys! We love you a big one!” wrote Katherine, who shares two children with Pratt.
Arnold is famously partial to a Stogie, and in a recent conversation on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Pratt revealed that he bonded with the legendary action star over a cigar following the birth of his daughter Eloise.
“I mean, there’s nothing manlier than Arnold Schwarzenegger smoking a cigar,” he said. “And when you’re part of, you know, bringing his granddaughter into the world, he comes and he brings you a cigar and he’s like, ‘Let’s go out and smoke these.’ And I was like, ‘OK!’ But I have asthma, and I don’t like cigars. And I was like, ‘You got it, Arnold!’ And Katherine’s like, ‘What are you doing?’ I was like, ‘I’m fine, I’m going to be OK.’ And so I go and I smoke the cigar and I’m like, ‘This is good’… And then woke up the next day, massive lung infection. But, worth it.”
While Pratt may have struggled to match Arnold in his cigar-smoking prowess, the Terminator star has stated in the past that he is very impressed by Pratt’s performance in the gym—which is certainly going to earn you points when you’re about to become the son-in-law to a seven-time Mr. Olympia champion.
“Pumping iron was the decision-making factor,” Arnold jokingly told Jimmy Kimmel in 2019. “He’s a strong guy, there’s no two ways about it. I’m very proud of him… When I watched him make these moves in the gym, you know, the incline press specifically did it. Why I wanted him to become my son-in-law, it was the incline press.”
“I’m really happy that he is such a great guy,” he added. “Not only a very talented guy and a great actor and a great star and all this stuff, but a really kind man, and kind to my daughter, which is the most important thing for me.”
