Marvel’s Harry Styles will return as Eros, says Kevin Feige

Eternals’ surprise cameo Harry Styles will return to the MCU, Kevin Feige has confirmed.

The Marvel Studios president fielded questions in the halls of Comic-Con on July 23 after regaling the crowds with exciting news from Phase 4, 5 and 6.

“Yes, the adventures of Eros and Pip is something that is very exciting for us,” he told MTV News while discussing the cosmic arm of the MCU. “That’s where our friends Eros and Pip live”.

At the end of last year’s Eternals, which introduced Gemma Chan’s Sersi, Richard Madden’s Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani’s Kingo, Lia McHugh’s Sprite and Angelina Jolie’s Thena, former One Direction singer Styles strode through the Domo as Eros/Starfox to offer his help alongside trusty sidekick Pip the Troll.

As far as future missions go, the multiverse is their oyster, but it’s pleasing enough to know that they’ll definitely be back.

Meanwhile, Eternals director Chloé Zhao previously admitted that the Don’t Worry Darling actor was the only person she wanted to play Eros.

“I pitched the idea of Pip the Troll and Eros to Kevin a while back, and I love the idea of exploring an Eternal who is beyond Titan and who may have influenced Thanos throughout the years the same way Eternals influenced us, earthlings.

“And then, it wasn’t like I suggested Eros, and let’s go find actors,” she went on. “I kept tabs on Harry since Dunkirk, I thought he was very interesting. After meeting him I realised he is that character – the same way I cast the rest of my cast. There’s so much of Eros in him. For me, if he says yes, and Kevin says yes, then it’s a go. And I’m very happy they both did.”

Eternals is now streaming on Disney+.
