THE TWO Super Bowl stars on everyone’s minds today are, of course, Rihanna and Patrick Mahomes. The Kansas City Chiefs won Super Bowl LVII in a close game to the Philadelphia Eagles, and Patrick Mahomes‘ status as a fan-favorite MVP continued to rise. Behind all of the success, the youngest quarterback to start in two Super Bowls has a close support system with his wife, Brittany Matthews and their two kids.
The former high school sweethearts (who have been together for over 11 years now!) have become one of NFL’s biggest power couples of late, for good reason. Matthews told Men’s Health last year about her own fitness empire and how she helped build Mahomes’ workout plans during COVID-19 quarantine, keeping him in shape to head up two Super Bowls in just three years.
Ahead of last night’s win, Matthews said that there’s another secret weapon behind Mahomes’ great success: lucky underwear. In a resurfaced podcast that was reported by the New York Post, Matthews said: “I bought Patrick lucky game day underwear—red underwear from Lululemon—and he’s worn them every game day.”
