ACE HOOD DESCRIBES his time spent in the gym as an opportunity to attack his goals—both physical and mental—with a particular tenacity. The rapper is in the weight room determined to make the most of his efforts, ready to put in “that dog work.”
While he trained to play football growing up and credits the sport for his focus and work ethic, Hood told the MH crew that he’s been on a focused health and wellness journey for the last eight years. Just check his videos or social media posts, and the results of his commitment are clear. He’s shredded—which he says is the immediate goal for his workouts—showing off training clips and a lean torso that could only be the result of dedicated physical regimen.
But Hood isn’t only focused on his muscles. “Training for me is an alignment of my mind, my body, and my spirit,” he says. “It’s just something that I need. If I don’t get my training in on a day-to-day basis, I know I’ll feel a little less than or a little short of energy.”
That all-encompassing experience relates to his larger goals for his training. “Very top is just to be the highest version of myself,” he says. “When I wake up first thing in the morning, thinking about how can I get better today, how can I push people around me to be better.”
