Rise of the Beasts’ Online

Michael Bay’s Transformers movie series, based on the iconic line of toys, underwent something of a soft reboot in 2018, shifting the action from the present-day adventures of Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Mark Wahlberg et al to a spinoff set in the late 1980s. Following on from Bumblebee, a new movie is now continuing in that timeline.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is set in 1994, and introduces Anthony Ramos as Noah Diaz and Dominique Fishback as Elena Wallace, two humans who become entangled in the galactic conflict between the Autobots and the Terrorcons, and the planet Earth once again finds itself as a battleground.

As is tradition with the Transformers movies, many of the shapeshifting robots in Rise of the Beasts are voiced by instantly recognizable performers: Peter Dinklage, Michelle Yeoh, Ron Perlman, Pete Davidson, and Colman Domingo all feature, while voice actor Peter Cullen from the original ’80s cartoon reprises the role of Optimus Prime.
