SVU’ Fans Reach Out to Mariska Hargitay Over Her Surprise Health Update

AFTER ALMOST TWO years of dealing with a persisting medical issue, Mariska Hargitay is seemingly all better.

In the summer of 2021, the Law and Order: SVU actress reportedly tripped and broke her right ankle after leaving a screening of Marvel’s Black Widow, according to Page Six. While the initial injury didn’t stop Hargitay from going back to work, it did cause some difficulties due to the equipment she wore to heal. Fast forward, two years later, Hargitay took to Instagram with a special update from outside of the Hospital for Special Surgery.

“So, I just finished my follow-up doctor for my trimalleolar fracture — that’s a fancy word for breaking your ankle in three places — and I’m here at HSS,” she began the clip uploaded on May 2. “I got a clean bill of health and he told me to pretend like it never happened. So, just wanted to share that with you. HSS rocks and thank you all for your love and concern when it happened.”

When Law and Order: SVU fans saw her final result of the accident (along with a selfie with her doctor), they immediately congratulated her in the comments.

“Our real life Wonder Woman ???????? thank you for updating us on your journey! This is just amazing news! So so happy for you, and I am so relieved and thankful you are all well again! ❤️,” one person wrote on Instagram. “I’m glad you’re feeling so much better ???? keep taking care queen ❤️ our bionic queen ???? awesome news!!!!” another added. “So happy to hear you have a clean bill of health. Thanks so much for keeping us updated. ????????,” a different follower said.

While this isn’t the first time Hargitay has suffered from injuries in recent years—only six weeks before this specific incident she had a broken knee, a hairline fracture in her ankle and a torn ligament—it looks like she’s doing better than ever!
