If you’ve ever taken even a cursory look at Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Instagram, then you know he is very passionate about two things: working out in his Iron Paradise, and eating delicious food on his cheat days. In fact, Johnson’s cheat day meals—almost always indulged in on a Sunday after a workout—have become the stuff of online legend, with fitness vloggers even taking it as a challenge to try and force down as many calories as the Rock himself.
In his latest cheat post, Johnson tries something a little different, sampling his first ever cheeseburgers from In-N-Out and pairing them with his Teremana tequila brand.
“It is Sunday night, approximately 11 p.m., it is history in the making,” he says in the video. “It is cheat meal Sunday for all of us around the world, certainly for me here. And the reason this is history in the making is because this is the very first time I have ever tried an In-N-Out burger, or In-N-Out fries, or anything from In-N-Out for that matter. Now I have picked up some In-N-Out burgers before from the drive-through for some buddies of mine, I’ve never tried it, so this is a first.”
While this most recent cheat meal included a foray into fast food, Johnson usually eats at home on Sundays, where he chows down on feasts cooked up by private chef Janette “Puttie” Clark.
“He really has fun with food on his Sundays, and I am around to help with those meals,” Clark recently told Men’s Health. “I get to dream up the meals. He tells me what he wants, and then I get creative. But I have to say, on the other days of the week, I don’t know anyone who is as disciplined as he is… His mid-week eating is very rigid and meticulous. He’s very focused on his well-being. It works well for him.”
