IT’S THAT TIME of year. The sun is setting sooner. The weather (sooner or later) is getting colder. The leaves on the trees are turning an orange/brown shade. It only means one thing: time to start watching horror movies and shows. Lots and lots of horror movies and shows. And Apple TV+ is helping to kick that oh-so-special season off early this year with the debut of a brand new limited series titled The Changeling.
Based on Victor LaValle’s bestselling novel of the same name The Changeling comes to your televisions with lots of major ambition surrounding it. With a genre-bending plot that goes from period realism to horror to fantasy, this show won’t be for everyone. But if you’re willing to buy into some weirdness, you won’t want to miss a minute.
The show follows a man (Academy Award nominee LaKeith Stanfield) who sells used books in an alternate version of ’60s New York City. He lives happily with his wife (Clark Backo), who has a newborn on the way. But then things get weird—really weird. This story is not for the faint of heart, but is for fans of the intersection between historical fiction, horror, and fantasy, with some great characters and story beats along the way. Plus, underrated director Melina Matsoukas—who worked with Beyonce on “Formation” and her Lemonade visual album, in addition to Master of None and Queen and Slim—is a director on The Changeling.
If that all sounds good, then keep reading so you won’t miss a single episode.
When is the next episode of The Changeling coming out?

How many episodes of The Changeling are left?
