Zac Efron might be a high-school-basketball-playing, shirtless-beach-running heartthrob on the silver screen, but in real life, he’s much more chill. And while you’ve typically watched his characters land the leading lady before credits roll, the The Greatest Beer Run Ever star is putting less time on finding “The One” right now and more time on finding himself.
In his Men’s Health October cover story, Efron admits that he’s put his dating life on the back burner—for the moment, at least.
“I’ve really been taking time to focus on, you know, self-fulfillment and trying to find my groove,” he says.
As for when he’ll find Mrs. Right, Efron seems to go the cliché route, noting that when he finally does meet the right person for him, “it’s going to be when I least expect it.”
But before you bombard the poor guy with a frenzy of sexy, flirtatious notes and pictures via a headfirst slide into his DMs, we recommend using your time more wisely. Read a book, perhaps, or fold your laundry. Maybe do something to help stop climate change if you’ve got the time.
Efron has made it clear as to how detached he is from digital life, and that also goes for not answering unwarranted messages from any of his 54.7M followers (and that’s just on Instagram—he’s got another 15.1M on Twitter to deal with, too).
“It’s a can of worms,” he says. And we can bet those are some horny worms.
