KEVIN COSTNER’S FATE in Yellowstone season 5 part 2 is still to be determined, but it looks like he revealed a clue about another element of his career.
Fans of the Paramount Network show may know that the actor loves to perform with his band, Kevin Costner and Modern West. While he’s been singing for a number of years, the group released an album inspired by the series titled Tales from Yellowstone in June 2020, featuring songs like “Won’t Stop Loving You” and “Heavy Like the Rain.” As the record reached three years since its debut, Costner reflected on the work by sharing a touching tribute on Instagram. At the same time, he also noted that his career in music isn’t over just yet.
“We’re coming up on the 3rd anniversary of our #TalesFromYellowstone album,” he wrote on June 14. “The band and I had so much fun making and playing this project for you guys. I’m in movie mode right now, but look forward to getting the band back together for more music soon!”

While Yellowstone fans loved seeing the Golden Globe winner post exciting music news, many were concerned about something else entirely. They took to the Instagram comments to plead for answers about his current status with the Montana-based show.
“What about Yellowstone finale? Part 2? THE END⚡️????,” one person wrote. “PLEASE Kevin please, find it in your heart to finish filming season 5 episodes [for] your devoted fans ???? ????????????????????,” another added. “Finish what you started with Yellowstone ???? you have a lot of disappointed fans waiting for the conclusion ????,” a different follower said.
While no word is out yet on whether Costner is leaving the Western drama, viewers do know that Yellowstone will end this November after the final set of season 5 episodes air on Paramount Network. As for what else he’s working on, the actor frequently posts updates about filming the second installment of his upcoming movie franchise Horizon: An American Saga.
Still, it’s clear folks won’t be forgetting about him as John Dutton anytime soon.
