All good things must come to an end. HBO’s Succession, which has slowly developed from a cult favorite into an Emmys juggernaut, is wrapping up with Season 4, back up to 10 episodes after Season 3 was slightly shortened (telling its story in only 9 episodes). Anyone who’s been along for the ride with the Roy family—including Logan, Kendall, Roman, Shiv, Connor, Tom, and Cousin Greg—will finally get a bit of closure as we see how the darkly hilarious (and always compelling) saga of Waystar/Royco plays out.
We’ve made it through three years of Logan Roy (Brian Cox) psychologically abusing and manipulating his children (Jeremy Strong, Sarah Snook, Kieran Culkin, and Alan Ruck), and now that the show is coming to a close, everyone must be wondering the same question: will Logan finally lose? The answer, unfortunately, is probably not. But as sports fans say, that’s why we play the game.
Season 3 saw a massive shift in Succession‘s story. After the season began with what ultimately amounted to a failed company coup (and character assassination of Logan) by Kendall, it ended with the Roy children coming together in agreement that they needed to “kill” their father. Except there was one tiny problem—tired of being abused by Shiv, Tom (Shiv’s husband, played in an Emmy-winning turn by Matthew MacFadyen) ratted their plan out to Logan. Logan then got the jump on his kids, selling the company to the eccentric Lukas Mattson (Alexander Skarsgård), and sending the show into entirely uncharted waters for its final go-around.
How will this all end? Well, luckily, we’ve got a full 10-episode season to find out.
When is the next episode of Succession Season 4 coming out?
Each episode of Succession Season 4 will air on HBO on Sunday nights at 9:00 PM EST, and will be available to stream on HBO Max at the same time. So that means the next episode will air on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at 9:00 EST.
How many episodes of Succession Season 4 are left?
